Antique Rose Cut Earrings: Studs or Dangles?

I've been wanting an antique, foiled rosie for some time now, and I thought it would be as a ring until I saw these! The center stones come in at a nice 7mm, and the total width with the petals is 14.5mm. They're set in silver over gold and are likely Victorian.

They're currently screwbacks for non-pierced ears, and the seller will convert them for me. Should I go with large statement studs, or add an ear wire to make them dangle?

@Mamabean Do these count as a sign of unending cluster addiction?

Thank you! I was leaning towards studs at first, but @PintoBean pointed out that they're like the Victorian version of Kataoka jewelry. I already have these Kataoka snowflakes in studs and I always wondered if I should've gotten the dangles instead...

I think they look better as dangles but I personally prefer to wear studs, so I guess it comes down to what you think you would wear the most and which is more practical for your lifestyle.

I think they look better as dangles but I personally prefer to wear studs, so I guess it comes down to what you think you would wear the most and which is more practical for your lifestyle.

I could see myself wearing both, but I think they would look dressier as dangles.

I like the dormeuse-style leverbacks for security, so probably those. I wonder if they can be made to dangle, or if it will hang at an angle instead of facing forward since these weren't originally designed to be clipped to the lobes.

Erm third option of being in between the long and short?! I'm not convinced the short will sit right and the long looks a bit unbalanced to my eye, right in the middle would look good.
