Hi Everyone,
I am ready to make a purchase for my wife's diamond studs and was hoping to get some opinions on the diamonds I picked prior to purchase:

1. https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-4118737.htm
2. https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-4118734.htm

The color and clarity are a little overkill but the price difference due to the size does not seem huge...I like the clean AGS report diagrams!
Plan is to put these on either a 3 prong platinum or a 6 prong platinum setting.

Thanks!

I would strongly recommend dropping down to an SI1 and getting larger stones. .4 each is not that large, and I wonder if your wife wouldn't prefer slightly larger stones? No one is inspecting earrings super closely, so anything over VS2 clarity is really unnecessary (IMHO).

I should have mentioned that we tried on larger diamonds but because they are for everyday use..1ct+ was too large for her ears.

I guess I save around $200 if I picked up something with a lower clarity and color...would not feel comfortable under H color though.

I am a clarity- and colour-freak, so I'm definitely in the 'needs to be mind-clean' camp  so my opinion is that one should splash out if one can afford it and the purchase would hit all the desired specs exactly! :))

Don't forget to also look at CBI stones at High Performance Diamonds, and the Brian Gavin stones!

Oh awesome. I was afraid she hadn't tried on stuff and you were assuming she preferred clarity over size. But in this case, your choice is perfect! I wouldn't drop color/clarity just to save $200. Glad you got her preferences!
