Well I pulled the trigger on the cushion cut I was considering yesterday. Here she is! I intend getting her reset into a yellow gold double claw solitaire or eith graduating sidestomes with milgrain. I love french cut sides but they are hard to source here in the UK.
Stats 1.84 M/N 8x6.8x4.6. Uncertificated. Pretty sure it’s an antique cushion. I am thrilled with her (currently 12 sizes too big!)

That’s gorgeous and big and has a super pretty faceting pattern. Get her unset from that huge gold ring and wear her in a plain solitaire for a bit while you get to know her. And take lots of pictures for us too

Tonks, I have been studying antique cushions for a while and noticed this on a preloved jewellery site. It's the premium site of a national Pawnbrokers chain here in the UK. So you browse and order it to be sent from London to your local store. So that is what I did. They don't differentiate between vintage/modern jewellery. so I occasionally trawl through and this beauty came up.
