That's a beautiful necklace - and it's worth more than an internet appraisal from amateurs (albeit some knowledgeable and well-intentioned ameteurs). If you go to the "resources" tab you'll find a database of independent jewelry appraisers. Your best bet would be to call a few appraisers near you and ask them how much a professional appraisal would cost. If there are none near you, local non-chain jewelry stores often have GIA-trained jewelers who could also provide a written appraisal. Whether you're considering selling your necklace or insuring it, it would be worth your while (and money) to get a professional appraisal.
