Hi,

For the 7 stone wedding band owners, do you find that your ring twirls around a lot, i.e. do the 7 diamonds not always rest on the top of the finger, like they should to look nice? I''m trying to decide between a full eternity band or a 7 stone diamond band. Naturally the 7 stone costs less & is easier to size but will it twirl around?

I have a 7-stone wedding band with EC stones. It is pretty substantial (1.10 tcw, 4mm wide) and it stays put just fine. I think if the ring is the correct size and fits nice and snug, there shouldn''t be any problem!

Cheers, shelbell

I think it depends a lot on your finger type. I have a larger knuckle and skinny fingers, so rings tend to spin on me. My anniversary band of little diamonds was spinning a lot, so I had it sized down a 1/2 size. It stopped spinning, but I could not get it on half the time b/c it was too tight! (okay okay and b/c I pigged out this past fall and put on 10 pounds!)

I''m now having it sized up 1/4 size to see if that helps.

If I had the money, I''d go full eternity. If you have nicely tapered fingers, you may not have to worry.

I have a small .27 ctw half eternity ring and if I could do it again, I''d get an eternity band. I have a small finger size and the ring itself is very thin- maybe 2.5mm tops. It spins ALL THE TIME and it drives me crazy. The one positive is that if I ever want a plain band look, all I have to do is turn the ring to the plain side! It''s like 2 looks for the price of one!

Any ring is going to have some movement, unless it''s fairly snug. If your ring is sized properly but still moves a bit too much for your liking, sizing beads will help a lot.

My knuckles are also larger so the design on my wedding band goes all the way around to make up for its spinning. My solitaire spins on me. If your knuckles are little you should be okay.

i used to have a band with diamonds going half way around and it drove me crazy when the diamonds were on the bottom of my finger. I now have an eternity band and love it. If you can afford it - go for the eternity

Thanks for the advice. I think I will try the 7 stone first. My ering is quite large 1.85 but it hardly spins, maybe because my knuckles are not big but the same as my finger. My sisters ring spins constantly & I think it''s because her knuckles are larger than her finger. I''ll try a 7 stone first & if I don''t like it will get the eternity.
