Sold 6mm OEC Diamond Solitaire Earring

This lonely diamond stud earring has lost its mate. Can you help it find a happy new home? Perhaps in a new setting?

The diamond measures right at 6mm round. Approximately .80ct old european cut with chunky facets and open culet. It is eye clean with just a few tiny inclusions visible at 10x. Color is warm. I’d guess about J-K though it doesn’t have an official grading report.

Pictured next to a 1.03ct G color diamond (not included in sale).

The setting is 14k marked and tested. A gorgeous crown style 6 prong basket holds the diamond in place. I think it would be simple for a jeweler to remove the post and solder the basket directly onto a wedding band or similar without even having to unmount the stone.

I’m asking $650 and can set up a private listing in my Etsy shop for an interested buyer.

Hi, I’ve had another interested party confirm that they would like to purchase it. I’m not sure what the proper etiquette is here, I didn’t expect as much interest so quickly. Usually I would sell to the first to confirm intent to buy. I hope that’s okay.

Okay, thanks! I have listed it in my Etsy shop for them. If they end up backing out I will let you know. In the meantime, I will work on those photos for you in case they change their mind.
