Yes, it would be fascinating to see how many stones they cut from the 600 ct. I agree it looks included but I'm guessing many mined diamonds must look something like this. I guess it is the planning that produces as many eyeclean stones as possible.
Not sure where the auction-house suddenly appears from, but these diamonds may be large, but also of a quality impossible to generate something that is jewelry-worthy. My guess is a value of around a dollar per carat, with the end-result in auction possibly a lot higher, because of somebody preferring the publicity over the value of the stone.
