Would all of these express maximum brilliance or are there any red flags? for examples the black in the first diamond.

I not an expert but I would say you would eliminate #2 and #3. The first one has an unusual and pretty stunning symmetry so I would want to carefully look at a video of this one. The last one has very little light loss apparent so might be good on brilliance. The others seem a little blah just on aset but again, do you have videos?

You've got a couple different cushion cuts here. Have you seen any of them - either video or in person?

Agree, these are all different in person, if you've seen them. I think you need to determine your cushion cut preference. The first one looks like a Hearts and Arrows cushion, the next couple appear to be crushed ice. What sort of cushion are you striving for? I think that's an important aspect here.

This is hard. Very hard. All six stones are amazing.

I love hearts and arrows cushions (#1), but like everyone said, you have all kinds of cushion cuts here. Hearts and arrows, crushed ice, X factor etc

They all pass the aset test. Time to move on to other considerations.

I like the first one personally, however in the photo it appears to have quite a bit of obstruction. See photo below. DO you think this will be evident in real size (1ct)?

You need to provide the links to the other stones if you want more help.

I can't get the link to come up, it goes direct to the main site.

I don't think there would be an issue with obstruction 'in real life' - don't forget the camera is much closer than your head will be, and that any dark contrast will help the reflecting areas look brighter :)

The video is that of a hearts and arrows cut. The arrows (in black) are providing contrast. Some people like the look - others like me - prefer chunky faceting.

Between the leakage/mush in the aset and the video I would eliminate #6.

Edit...I also like #1 and think it may be the up-close camera causing the darkness/obstruction.

I wish you had videos for 5 and 7.

If you view it from 3 inches wearing a black face mask it might look like that.

Have you checked Brian Gavin’s hearts and arrows cushions?

I have, however they appear to be a lot more expensive

That is because you can just pick one with relative ease. They are gorgeous though, and proven performers.

It just takes a little more effort to find one elsewhere in the databases. You have a good start though...

would you think that the #1 (H&A) would perform as well as BG?
