One of my co-workers was just in here talking about her great day yesterday, and one of the things she mentioned was that her son is getting engaged soon. Thus a conversation about diamonds started, and her and our other co-worker were comparing theirs.

She has a 6 carat diamond pendant and a 2.25 diamond ring. Talk about being weighed down by rocks! She also had another one in a safe deposit box that shes giving her son for the e-ring. 1.9 carats and the girl has no idea and thinks she''s getting a small diamond!

But six carats?!?! good lord. That thing is huge.

you know though, when i get mine .64 carat (which is being paid off right now, hehe) i will still love it more. becuase its oodles more sparkly looking then either of those big big blings.

Just thought i''d share. Sorry i can''t go take pictures of them for you . lol. :)

You know, because 6 carat stones are so rarely seen and look so gaudy, the fact that it doesn''t sparkle and appears dull just makes it more likely that people will think it''s a piece of glass or some $100 fake. In which case, what a waste of money.

I know! I''d never think it was real hehehe

agreed. id never spend mony on it.

in her defense it was a hand me down from her dead mother who left it to all her children in the will and nobody wanted it!!

They were going to sell it but couldn''t get nearly as much as they thought they would/should so she ended up keeping it.

from the sound of the story, i think it used to be a ring and she had it made into a pendant.
