5th anniversary - $500 (ish) budget - show me your ideas!

Hi PSers! Oh how I've missed ogling the sparklies : )

My 5th anniversary is coming up and even though money is tight I'd love to get a little something to mark the occasion. Reading the recent 'help me find a 1k engagement ring' really opened my eyes to the possibilities!

I want a ring, and am very open to styles and stones. Love aqua but I do already have one so I'm thinking maybe another beryl? Or a lite fiery vintage diamond would be very nice indeed.

Even just suggestions where to look would be much appreciated.

Hey, first off happy upcoming anniversary!

Second, I love threads like this. Do you have any additional preferences insofar as metals, styles, and/or solitaires vs. eternities vs. 5-stones ...?

In terms of general suggestions/shops ... I love GoldAdore on Etsy she always has a lovely selection of vintage rings. Dover Jewelry and Oakgem on eBay have gotten consistently good reviews. We'll see what else pops up! I'll happily scour in the meantime for anything that reads like a good deal ....

Thanks Circe! I'm thinking either a solitaire or something line a 3 or 5 stone. Eternity bands don't really zing me. I'm not crazy about yellow but do love rg and wg/ plat.

Well since you mentioned a three-stone…
This ring may not be everyone's taste, but it's one of my new faves and I must admit that with the juicy colors and finger coverage, I ogle it more than I do my engagement diamond. I ordered the center garnet from Dana at master cut gems and he sent the other two as a first-time buyer gift, meaning I paid $240 for all three. The setting cost me $550 which puts the whole thing slightly above budget but I'm sure you could find stones and a setting that would fit, especially if you're open to using 10kt gold or even sterling silver.

I've had this one in my watch list on eBay for awhile. It's 18kt white gold, 0.75ctw, 5 stone, the diamonds look decent cut, and the stones look pretty clean from the photos. It's a size 6.5 too! The seller seems to have good feedback, and a 14 day return policy (however with a 10% restocking fee.) Price is $650.

Thanks so much!! I'm thinking a classic 5 stone might be just right since it's our 5th. But an old cut might just get me.

The amazing 3 stone colored stone is definitely in my mind too! Lots to look at the next week or so
