5 stone ring, price point?

Hi!!!!

I was at the local chain jeweller today and they had a 1ct 5 stone ring for $1999, is this a good price? I am not sure of the clarity (i would guess VS2-SI1, and colour of nearly white, not tinted) but what would you pay for a 5 stone ring? This might be a silly question but just wanted to ask you guys as you're all so knowledgeable!

I would suggest going on line and looking at Whiteflash. I bought my 5 stone band from them and it is absolutely gorgeous - G VS1 stones, all chosen specifically to match. A ring of the size you are looking for sells for just a bit more than you found in the store but since there is no tax, then the cost may be virtually the same. I looked around for quite some time and feel that i got a great deal (with excellent qualiity!) from WF. Good luck with your search.

There's no telling what the quality of those diamonds are unless they have lab reports. Chain jewelers typically are going to have stones that are not reliably graded and usually they are going to be lower quality. I'd use WhiteFlash for a 5 stone ring because they will be reliable on the color and clarity (F-G VS) and they will be ideal cut stones.

I think WF might also give a discount if you are a new customer. It might be for only engagement rings but it never hurts to ask. For $200 more I would go with WF. Plus I'm not sure what state you are in but it might actually be cheaper to go with WF since there is no sales tax online.

Try IDJ. I was recently quoted $1550 or thereabouts for a 5-stone ring, 1ctw, PS-quality stones. E

I am not looking at getting one right now, but researching for the future I think i have just convinced hubby to get me some small diamond bands to wear everyday with my e-ring (a small fix till i can get that big elusive upgrade )

I will deffintely go with either WF or IDJ as there quality will be by far way better than my local chain jeweller. So thank you!!
