My five little ACAs are finally in their home and my original e-ring is now a pendant. DK was incredible patient throughout (probably a dozen emails about a simple five stone) and executed perfectly. I vascillated a lot on how to set the stones, and ultimately defaulted to a Tiffany style setting with one little change, a single prong on the outer stones. I try to default to the mean when I am in doubt, hence the Tiffany, but didn't like how two prongs on the outer stones squared the look off. Ultimately, this is perfect for me. I worried so much about prong shape and size and placement but honestly I can't see them at all, all I see is the stones. I also spent a lot of time thinking about the stone size, but didn't want the stones to fall off the sides of my finger and also wanted a low profile, and so ended up with smaller than I had intended to, and again, these are perfect for me.
The stones are all F, 0.34 carat each. Ring size 6.5 for my right hand. Platinum.
The pendant is my original e-ring, this one only took a few emails (poor David). Not anywhere near ideal, not colorless, highly imperfect, but so meaningful and now I wear it close to my heart. I wasn't sure if I would like it because I hated the princess as a ring, but I love it as a pendant. It also surprisingly has meant a lot to my husband that I am wearing it.
Attached are David's photos and a couple of my own. I included a stack with my ACA three stone, but will never wear it like that, too much for me.
Thanks y'all for all the help while I was working on these projects. I'm on to my next, an emerald ring. The emerald will be my official 50th present and I have 8 months to figure it out. Knowing me that won't be enough! The 5 stone was intended to wait until next year but I pushed it up and it ended up being more of a f-you 2022/YOLO gift to myself.
Thank you all!
