4k budget for Princess stone....any advice?

Hello,I

Long time lurker. Finally ready to pop the question. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed now that the time has come.

Ive been paying attention to what she likes and it is def the princess cut. I've been doing my homework and the most important thing that I want to spend my budget on is cut/performance (of course carat size is a close second). But after watching some very informative videos on "fire and sparkle" I'm definitely sold on that quality.

Looking forward to any guidance.

color and clarity requirement?

From everything that I've read, and I'm no expert.

Color: g-h
Clarty: si (as long as eye clean). Although I think I should stick with vs2. Knowing her she notices everything so she'd probably see stuff on an si that only a microscope would

Go down to I, you can get this. Ask GOG if it is eye-clean.

I was going thru some of the other threads here and I came across this one by mavsfan (ty). It seems to address the same avenue that I'm looking for (more or less). If I got my budget to 5 and could be more flexible on my requirements could I get over that 1 carat range?

Any other recs?

That route will be more iffy as JA's ASET is not the easiest to interpret but you could get a larger stone for your budget with slightly better specs.
