Are there any threads dedicated to 3 4 carat and up?
 
Excuse me but I don't think there are many woman who have so big stones to start a topic but who knows... perhaps.

There are some people on this forum with four, five carat or bigger rocks but I don't know if they are all together. I remember some ladies with some enormous emerald cuts--one was, I think, 10 carats or so? Diamondfan? I forget the name. The search engine has got a lot more difficult to use, but maybe you can find her and the others.

stci, you are right aabout not a lot of people having this kind of ring in real life, as it is unusual, but people who do tend to congregate on Pricescope and the people who have larger rings also tend to be less shy and post more (except in the lovely 'under one carat forum') so this is the place to be if you want to look at huge rings.

The big thing to remember I think (and avoid that diamond size shrinkage thing) is that they all look so much bigger up on screen. the other day this was brought to mind when I was cruising around here looking at marquise rings (which I love) and saw a beautiful ring that looked enviably huge and lovely. when I checked out the mm size, it was actually just about the same size as mine. And when I thought about it, it looked about the same comparatively on the photo of her finger. Her finger was of course blown up, also.

But in the case of the three carats and up--they really will be bigger, of course (although the surface area goes up less than you would think for between 5 carats and say, 10 carats--they seem to get deeper faster than they get wider and longer. Do others have this impression?)

There's quite a few 4+ carat rocks on here. Off the top of my head, so please excuse the inaccuracies:

Bebe - 4+ carats of delicious cushion in a spectacular Leon setting
(Mrs) Flintstone - 5 carats+ Leon, and a huge set of chunky cushion earrings, pendants, etc.
Diamondfan - several humougous ones - including I believe a 10 carat Tiffany emerald
Diamanteblu - I believe has a 6+ carat emerald and a similarly large RB.
Madrocks has a huge oval - can't remember approximate size but significantly over 4 from what I recall

There's also a huge, very rectangular yellow radiant but I can't remember it's owner's name. I want to say, Tiffany-something... she didn't post very much but I definitely remember that ring. It think it was flanked with two trillions, and she was thinking about a setting change?

If someone has the time, maybe they can dig these beauties up in a separate thread?

Oh yes, she also has HUGE diamond hoops and 5 carat studs. I've looked at those pictures more than once!
 
Oh, in case anyone plans to start a real thread with pictures. DiDiamond also has at least 2 rings over 4 carats, and 2 over 5 carats. All ridiculously gorgeous, of course.

And um, doesn't Pheonix have some jaw-dropping pieces as well.

Thinking we are talking about 4 ct and more solitaire! They are not plenty from what I know. 3 or 4 that's all...
