4.25 Mandarin Namibian Spess

I've been dreaming of the perfect Fanta colored spess for so long, especially since I saw TL's, Chrono's and Yingh's. And now she's finally here. Just a heads up: she is included, sleepy and she does not have the best cut. But her color is unlike anything I've ever seen before.

Now I understand what the fuss is all about with these Namibian spesses.

Should I do WG, YG or RG?

Her dimensions are: 12.6 x 8.3

I missed your Fanta avatar but wow, who needs that when all I need to do is look at your new pear. Just screaming orange!

As for the setting, have you seen how it looks sitting on a copper penny, against a high karat yellow gold and against a white metal? The saturation is so striking that I doubt it really matters what colour metal you select.

OMG, you are cracking me up with the lolipopondo!! I must admit, this Namibian is putting my Loliondo and Nigerian to shame. I can really see the yellow/red modifier now.

Chrono, I'll put another Fanta soda pic on my avatar just for you. You and TL are to blame for this Fanta obsession. Everytime I look at your spesses, I covet and crave. And it became a mission to find such a spess.

I agree, the saturation is a really unusual, kind of neony and bright. And it seems to hold its color in all of the lighting I've exposed it to so far. Even though it's very included, somehow the sleepiness is giving it a glow and it's helping distribute the color evenly. If that even makes sense.

I'll try to place it on different metal colors as you suggested. Do you think I should halo it or do a solitaire?

Okay, so I did the Fanta soda test tonight. I dropped the spess in the soda and it took me a few seconds to find it. LOL!

Thanks TL!! I'll try to take more pics. I still haven't had a chance to buy a new charger for my Canon, hence the crappy IPhone photos. I'm torn betwen WG and YG. YG would give it a nice buttery look,, but I also love the way WG looks on your pear and Chrono's cushion. Hmmm...

Ack. I can completely understand about visible inclusions bothering you. This stone is included too, but it doesn't detract from the color, so I'm forgiving with it.

Sorry that you didn't fall in love with the spess. I hope you will find one that will speak to you, and you'll know when it's the right one.

Thanks Brandy!! Haha..yes, she's sleepy. But somehow it's what's giving her a certain glow. I'm going to set her in a ring since I don't like not being able to see stones in a pendant. I'm debating between WG and YG. And also if I should do halo. I have so many halos already, but she's a very special and unusual stone to me, so I want to put her in the right setting.

Your Namibian is gorgeous!! Somehow I'm envisioning it in a three-stone. It's amazing how such a color can be found in nature.

It's crazy how the color is exactly like the soda. The soda's color is artificial, but the stone's color is natural. It's amazing.

Thanks LM!! There was no such vaccine for me. The only cure was to find such a spess and own it. The only way for me to avoid the new bling virus is by staying away from PS completely. And lurking is not allowed either. LOL!

I think 18k yg would look smashing! I love sleepy stones. If you already have a lot of halo's I'd try and go another direction to enhance it's specialness. Or maybe you could switch it up and halo it with something other than diamonds?

Eek! How did you get the spess out of the fanta and cleaned of the corn syrup stickiness?

I'll up TL one level with a triple halo; call it a trinity ring of sorts with a ring of white, yellow AND rose gold halos so you'll never need to decide which metal colour to set it in.
