color or clarity - which is the better diamond?

I'm looking for an opinion about whether clarity or color are more important in higher end ideal cut diamonds.

For example, would most prefer an

D or E color VS1/VS2 AGS000
or an

F color VVS1/VVS2 AGS000

IMO Color. Cannot detect clarity with the eye in those ranges.

i'll take either!! i'm a novice, but unless you're doing an investment purchase, i'd go for the cheaper one cuz they both sound gorgeous! :wavey:

If you're looking at AGS000's in the D - F range and VS2+ I would base my decision on my budget.

Budget, and which one looks better to you. It takes a trained grader to tell those two apart. The average consumer would never be able to, especially once they're mounted. Personally, I'd go with clarity, but that's just me.
