33.5 CA coupled with a 40.8 PA?

Can anyone give me insight on this combo. I know the 33.5 falls just shy of most peoples ideal cut proportions.

I am looking at a smaller stone for a pendant for mothers day, but can't decide whether this combo fits. The idealscope checks out, but I just want to get everyones take?

Thanks for the help!

Can you post all measurements and an ASET photo if you can get it? Table 55, 60, 65? Lower halves? Since all work together it’s hard to know how to respond to this without a bit more information. We could take a stab at it with just the CA and PA and on its face those are strong together, but that’s the limit of predictions without the rest of the story.

It's a 60/60 diamond. Im pretty good at selecting more traditional tolk cut ideal stones but my mom likes 60/60. Old generation? Haha. I actually bought one before and really like the white light beilliance of it.

I don't have the exact numbers in front of me now, but I want to say 60 table and 59.8 depth (oddly similar to one I've bought before). Scores well on hca at 1.5 and I should have an idealscope by Friday.

I just know that the 33.5 CA is a little low for a lot of the experts on here and although 40.8 is spot on I don't know how well they go together?

Thanks again

It should be a very brilliant stone. Can you get an IS of it?

Yup, I should have it today from them. Regardless I have my own if I need to go that route. I am OK interpreting idealscopes and generally know what to look for in diamonds. However, I am still trying to understand why people (from what I read) don't like the 33.5 Crown with the 40.8 Pavilion?

Thanks again for your help!*

For a 60/60 that is a nice combination. The idealscope will confirm if it is nicely cut and has expected brilliance.

Some prefer more fire and less brilliance (white light return). I love a lot of brilliance. Please post the IS when you get it.

I'm with you on the white light return. I'm quite versed in 60/60 as I've bought one before. I love the blinding flashes! I just was unsure about why people ragged on that crown angle.

Ill be sure to post the ideal scope. If I didn't have my other one set if post the IS of it too. Nice skinny arrows. 1.07 ct gorgeous stone.
