Tom Cruise''s proposal inspired a piece recently posted to MSN''s the Knot, on maybe things to watch out for in a proposal, which you can read about here. In my case, #5 rings true, as...and although I don''t remember the timing exactly, my wife did not actually use the words: "yes," after my proposal, but instead: can I think about it? Later, when I returned to Halifax, she in New Haven, she gave me the good news. It''s been almost 16 years now, and I''m a very lucky guy.

Anyway, not wanting to spoil anybody''s fun who''s just invested substantially in a ring...just noticed the article, and thought I would share.
