.30-.50c TW diamond stud earrings- 3 or 8 prong?

I''m planning on asking DH for diamond stud earrings for Christmas and love the 8 prong martini WF Ready Set Go studs. However, I''ll be asking for the smaller size diamonds; either the .30 or the .50. I love the 8 prong but worry it''ll overwhelm smaller earrings. Does anyone else have smaller studs w/ the 8 prongs?

I think 8 prongs would overwhelm diamonds that size. I''d definitely go with 3 (or 4).

I just highlighted 8 prong martini and dragged it to the search bar as I remembered Mara had tried a pair on and she said she thought anything smaller than .75 each ear it could be overwhelming- she posted lots of shots. I can''t link sorry...
