3 wedding sets... in 18 months

Okay so you all have been following me on my crazy ride of diamond rings. Its been stressful and fun. I realized I never posted pictures of my great great grandmothers original set which was also my first set. So here are all 3. I would like to hear from those of you who have gone through different sets and see them all. So post away.



I loved this first set but.. it was very bulky. The total carat weight was just under 1.50 but to me they look bigger than that.

The picture is not great, I knew nothing about my camera then. You will see my picture skills got better

So then the stones in the first set were becoming dangerously loose. My husband expressed to me that he wanted to buy me my own set and leave these in tact. So I was stupid and didn''t find this website first and bought the Leo diamond. I settled for SI because they didn''t have VS and this setting was the only one my husband liked out of the may we looked at in other stores

Ok, I am lost, I only 2 sets up there, not three. They are all lovely to me, but I am confused a bit.

so then.. after finding pricescope I started to see what a bad choice I made and became unhappy with he Leos. About 4 months after buying them. I noticed a black inclusion with my naked eye. Every time I looked down, I thought about that. I need to do something because I wasn''t happy. I talked to my grandmother who was very close with my G G Grandmother(owner of the first set) She told me that I should use the center stone from her set, because that''s what she would want. She wouldn''t want me to leave them in a box. The center stone was .13 larger then the Leo center and it was VS1 or VS2, F or G color. So I decided to go with it and had it reset in PLT. We found a nice eternity band to match and now I have this

in this picture, you can see the stone is cut deep. i guess it faces up a little smaller because its a .82

I''m so glad you posted all of these and shared your story; I too, am working on my 3rd ring in 2 years, but it won''t be ready for another week or so. All of the rings are lovely, but I do like this last one best. I don''t think I have anything from a gg grandmother, let alone a beautiful diamond - you lucky girl! Hope this one works out for you.
