Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of getting my 1 ct RB stone set with either pear or trillion sides (still deciding!). I would also like an eternity band for my wedding band and I'm worried that it won't be flush against my e-ring. I have very limited experience, so I'm wondering if it's possible. Also, I've noticed when looking at the Tiffany website, that there version of a RB with pear side stones does sit flush with their "shared setting band ring" http://www.tiffany.com/engagement/Item.aspx?GroupSKU=GRP10024.. What exactly does that mean, and how do I get another jeweler to replicate that? Thanks so much!

IMHO, trillions on the sides don't seem to have the brilliance against a RB. When I got engaged in 1987-trillion side stones were all the rage. In my opinion pears are prettier. I had also considered pears but my jeweler advised to go with baguettes and I have not regretted the decision. It looks like a classic e-ring. The focus is on the center stone-oval. I have an eternity band with baguettes that are set north to south and although wide, it sits fine. I usually wear my engagement ring on the right hand and the eternity band on the left. Think of rings you want in the future- I later got an oval ruby ring flanked by two pears and love it.
