I am going to try and get a ring custom made that is a similar style to this ring. I think this picture is a 1ct center stone.

I am pretty sure i am going to go with an online vendor but i dont know what size side stones and the stones set in the channel should be.

I will most likely be going with a EC Center in the .7-.8ct range. What is a good ratio to go with to get the same type of look as this picture?

Also if i go with a VS1/G center should i go with at least a G/H color side stone?

Try a diamondisforever.com. They have this cool feature that lets you play with the side stones on a scale. Also there have been plenty of previous conversations on 3-Stone Rings on pricescope try doing a search for more info.

i think picking side stones for a three stone ring is sorta personal preference. I like my sidestones larger..at least half the size of the center..but thats with rounds. im less familiar with emerald cuts.. i dont think you can go wrong either way..but its what looks good to you..sorry if i was no help..hehehe.

That's a nice look for emerald cuts. You might even consider using trapazoids, similar to emerald cuts but the ends slant in. If you are using a white metal, white gold or platinum, stick with G for the side stones. If you are using yellow, H would be okay.

Just a thought,

Hi KevinB:

Vatche makes a 3 stone truffle setting that is very similar to the image above. For a .75 ish center stone they recommend .25 on each side.

Hope that helps!
