3 rings from Daniel M!

Caren just sent me the last completed picture and I'm thrilled w/ the results!! too bad i'm going out of town till nov 7 so i gotta wait to see them.

3 stone has a 3ct spinel in the middle and the sides are not diamonds, set in 14kt white gold. (am i allowed to post it here if the sides are not diamonds? the center stone is natural...)

leaf ring has a dan stair 7mm pink tourmaline, really pretty pink live, the pics are dark. made in arg. silver w/ brushed silver leaves.

Ammy in bezel ring is about 8mm, i think. all arg. silver.

It is great, esp since i got the spinel for under $200... i really didn't want to spend $400+ on a pair of diamond sidestones, you know?

lovinggems & jstar- i asked them to copy another ring they made, which was based off a vintage style. it was very affordable!

chictomato- i dont know if the culet touches the band, i'll find out on nov 7! we're leaving for europe this week so I wont see it for over 2 weeks!

I'm worried about this as well. I have very little gem budget to speak of (I'm down to some birthday money I may or may not use to buy a stone or two more with) so cannot afford any setting projects right now. But I have several projects I want to use DanielM for after the new year when I (hopefully) start my new job. I'm hoping he doesn't skyrocket before then.

I adore the leaf designed ring – I’ll have to keep that one in my folder design for something down the road together with the open bezel ring. I’ve been looking for something different and the leaf motive is gorgeous! It’s great that DM is also very affordable.

I browsed odyssey today and found out that it is becoming more and more costly, too. Almost as expensive as US vendors, unless it is old stock. Especially spinel, which is understandable because spinel is becoming more popular. At the same time, the prices have already been "saturated" and I think that increasing them will just drive the vendors away. I bought my spinel pair from US vendor for the same price.
