Thank you for your concern. I did take the stone to my local jeweler who does not have a sterling reputation and he seems to think that it is either a CZ or some type of quartz. This is based purely upon examination under a 10X microscope. Is this a reasonable assumption or should I take it to a more trusted source? Thanks.
