Hi everyone, I''ve been lurking on these boards for several months and have learned so much but I feel it''s getting time to ask for some opinions.
As the subject implies I''m looking to purchase a round diamond with a budget around $2,300 (obviously willing to be a little flexible for the right one). I would like to find something in the .65-.75ct range but I''m having trouble weighing the trade off between size and color/clarity. Some examples of diamonds of excellent cut I''ve found from Whiteflash and GOG are:
.71 I SI1
.73 J SI1
.65 H SI1
My first question is if there are any killer diamonds that members of this community see in my range and the second question being in real world experience how much of an increase in size would you trade for a level of color and clarity? (ie In one case posted above +.08ct for going down to J). I don''t know if it''s just me but I can''t tell the difference of G-J in most settings but there is somewhat the mental effect of having a lower color or clarity on paper.
I appreciate any and all opinions.
Thanks,
