Hello! A couple of years ago my mother gave me her original wedding set from when she and my dad were married in 1970. They were 18 and 20 years old and didn’t have two nickels to rub together. Her set is very simple and sweet.

She had the rings cut off prior to a surgery, and unfortunately, they were cut through the interior engraving that has their initials and wedding date.
Neither remembers much about the set except my dad says it was a pretty popular brand at the time.

The inside says “Orange Blossom” (orange is engraved on top of the word blossom), 18k and has what appears to be two TT inside of a circle. There also appears to be a mark that says P23, but it’s difficult to tell the number for certain. I’m guessing that’s the style number

I don’t know anything about the diamond as far as clarity, color, etc., but it’s a 1/4 carat and is super white and sparkly.

Along with getting the bands fixed and sized, one prong will have to be replaced as it’s missing on top. This is super special to me, and I’d love any info anyone could provide. Through reading here and on the net, the hallmark is Traub, but I don’t know much else. Attaching photos, but they aren’t great and the engraving/hallmark was difficult to capture. 72756564-53B1-4B62-962D-DB32163FF920.jpeg 809152AE-6B69-46CE-A1CF-4C209A029D4F.jpeg F5CCAC00-A358-45E6-A62F-BBBCF0F7F295.jpeg D1BA561E-E945-4933-A237-144A155A9488.jpeg E7797B1E-A8B2-4DE3-86E5-08F1FFD08269.jpeg E03559D0-F57B-4C83-8928-206200F1CB2E.jpeg

Its sad they butchered them cutting them off
i just saw yesterday a local jewlery offering a ring removal service where the ring was repaired and sized afterwards

I'm keeping my finger crossed for you that ring can be repaired and maybe just have the engraving redone.

Hi there! I used to collect Orange Blossom Traub rings. You are truly blessed! Traub was the jewelry store in Detroit that sold them exclusively and would use their makers mark (the TT with/without the circle around. Traub went out of business if I remember correctly in the 60’s or earlier. All original Orange Blossom rings from early 1900-1940’s ? were very special. The company destroyed all their molds when they OB ( not Traub) went out of business-not sure what year that was. Some Canadian company bought the OB rights and are subpar and don’t have anything special about them. You have a very valuable set here, especially because it’s a Traub piece! I collected them ( the bands because the diamond ones were too expensive for me at the time) for years. I have about four or five bands, almost everyone engraved with initials of the couple and the date of the marriage. I only wanted those as they are history! I think the oldest one I have is 1921. It’s now 100 years old and I can call it antique now! I have some of the original boxes they came in as well that say both Orange Blossom and Traub both! I’m going to start selling them off but I got all of them off eBay. You are very lucky to have inherited that set. And I can tell you it was super old when your Dad purchased because Traub didn’t exist past 1940ish. I’ve done so much research you wouldn’t believe. Feel free to ask me anything as I consider myself a little bit of an expert on OB Traub. I even have a black and white photo of the actual Traub shop in Detroit! I bought it to frame. Hope this helps and I can send pics if you would like to see!
