Almost 4 years to the day after he asked for my phone number... I am officially a fiancee!!!!!

I don''t have pics of my ring yet (such blasphemy! I know) - but will post as soon as I can. Just wanted to share my good news with my fellow LIW-ers. I know I went a bit nuts towards the end!

Thank you so much, ladies! You are all so sweet. Even though I haven''t been too active on the boards lately (if ever!), I''m overwhelmed by how genuine you guys are!

The story in a nutshell: We spent all of Saturday moving to his new place. We were exhausted! Finally, after evening fell and all our move helper friends left, we had a rare, quiet moment to ourselves (the whole weekend had been nonstop until that point). We lit a fire in the fireplace, and marveled at how far we''ve come in the last 4 years, and how this move was a new beginning for us (he used to live more than an hour away - now he''s just a few miles). He then pulled out a beautiful poem that he''d written for me, which he read aloud. I was already tearing up at this point! Afterwards, he said "you''ve never looked more beautiful" (and mind you - after a full day of moving, I DEFINITELY didn''t feel beautiful!) and pulled out the ring. He got down on his knee, and the rest is history. It''s been a whirlwind of emotion ever since! It''s a simple story, but I love that it was so low key. It was very romantic and just perfect for us!
