15-pointer 5-stone vs Sholdt semi-bezel solitaire to treat myself?

Hi all! Long time lurker first time poster. I'm considering getting myself my first ever piece of nice diamond jewelry that isn't my e-ring/wedding ring - I kept those pretty simple to fit my taste but now want to get a bit more blingy. :D

I don't usually wear any rings other than e-ring and wedding ring on my left hand, which is a v sleek and understated set - flush set EW baguette about 2mm wide, and a half eternity ring of about ~7pointers, both in rose gold. No protruding stones which I love.

What I'm aiming for is something that looks special and can't be mistaken for costume jewelry, but still understated - I live in a part of Europe where you don't see a lot of big rocks and I do like to keep things relatively minimal in this regard.

I'd love to hear peoples' thoughts on what I've narrowed it down to:
- Option 1: the Sholdt Ava in RG with about a 0.70ct RB - would likely wear on middle finger of RH which is about a size 6.5
- Option 2: 5-stone with 15pointers each, probably would get in white gold bc I can't justify the extra charge to customise the band to rose or yellow gold as I'd probably keep the prongs WG anyway. For this option I'd be happy wearing on either middle or ring finger of RH - ring finger is about size 5 and Whiteflash have confirmed there will be full coverage across the top of the finger

Thanks in advance!

I think I’d pick the 5 stone, but I’m biased…!!

I'm biased because I own the Sholdt half-bezel. I highly recommend this setting. It is comfortable, sleek, and timeless. I also think it would complement rather than compete with your wedding set. Plus it comes in rose gold.

Both beautiful choices. But with the WF 5 stone, I think you would still be able to see the plain metal of the band from a top view. It’s just a function of that style setting.

Perhaps, others who have that ring can chime in…

I think the sholdt is a beautiful setting but the 5 stone is more versatile. The sholdt looks like an ering and you already have an
ering. My choice would be a 5 stone. I used to own a 5 stone (and loved it) but upped it to a 7 stone to get full finger coverage for
my size 6 3/4 fingers. It is very versatile. I mostly wear it as a RHR but when at times I wear it on my left ring finger instead of my
ering/wedding band.

I'm a huge fan of sholdt so I am likely biased, but I LOVE that setting

I really like the Sholdt setting but I am biased toward a five stone. I have one as a RHR and don't feel it competes with ering and wedding band on the other hand. While the Sholdt setting is really pretty, it feels like another engagement ring to me.

Thanks all for your input! I've decided to pull the trigger on the Sholdt :D It'll be set with a 0.72ct lab grown RB from Brian Gavin (hope it's ok to talk about lab diamonds here!) - D, VVS2, HCA score 0.9. i can't stop watching the diamond video, it looks so sparkly. Will post updates when it arrives!

Looks very pretty. You should have been more clear in your first post that you didn't have a solitary like ering. It would have
swayed my opinion of what to buy.

I totally forgot to update with hand pics - here they are!! I'm awful at taking these so apologies in advance and please ignore the dry hands and un-done nails

I've been wearing it daily on either my middle or ring finger on my right hand depending on how warm it is/how much my fingers swell, and I love it so much!! It's so comfortable and really feels like me, and also looks so special! Thanks all for helping me choose, I think we definitely picked the right one!!

@clvoes, any feedback on how secure this setting is? I am thinking of changing mine to this one, but due to a bad experience with a prior setting (four prong, not from Sholdt), I am deathly afraid of the setting not being secure or needing to be frequently tightened. I read that someone else needed their Sholdt semi bezel tightened after wearing it for a year. Thanks!
