Old cut and modern cut diamonds

Hi everybody!

I have modern cut diamond studs 0.75 cttw white gold 3 prongs martini setting.

I would like to have another pair but loose diamonds that I have now are OEC and OMC .30 cttw. I simply need to set it in martini 3 prongs setting.

Do you think it could be beautiful to wear modern and old cut studs at the same time?

I'm really not sure and would like to have your opinion please.

I mix modern & old cuts on my ears most days, I have multiple piercings and wear teeny bezel set modern stones in the extra ones usually. Is that what you're doing, wearing them in multiple piercings? If the settings and sizes blend nicely I say go for it. I wouldn't mix modern & old cuts in a ring necessarily (well, actually I did have a setting that did that and I didn't care for it ) but on ears I don't mind mixing them.
