I did some searching of the forums and it looks like a handful of people were successful in getting cartier to set their own stones. i''d like to get some details on what''s involved in getting something like that done. my issue is i want to get a reasonably well cut stone that''s colorless and their stock is low, there''s only 1 diamond and unfortunately given the crown/pavilion angles it may not perform that well... so i''m thinking about plan B: picking up my own diamond and paying them to set it. looks like there''ll be quite a few hoops to jump through and a small fortune to be spent, but does anyone have the specifics of what''s involved? any other suggestions on what''s the best way to get some nice bling in authentic 1895 setting? thx!!!
