Hey everyone...looking for a good gps under $200...preferably a garmin. any recommendations?? Thanks!!

One important thing - get as large and as visible a screen as possible.

My car came with GPS, but I bought a Magellan from Costco for Mom for Christmas. I think Garmin may be rated higher, but the Magellan is great.

I was deciding on a 350 and this 260W and I''m glad I got the wide screen, the 350 has longer battery life and MP3 I believe, but I always keep it plugged in so it was no big deal

I have the most basic TomTom and I love it. I can''t imagine needing any other features really. I guess it might be nice if the screen was larger but I have no problems with the size I have right now.

Forget which Garmin hubby just bought but was under $200 and he loves it.

that is a great idea!!! I have a Garmin and love it; I used it in Florida and N. Cal and it is great!!!

If anyone is still looking, Amazon has the Garmin 780 on sale for $178.

I had a 760 stolen out of my car (so sad!), and just replaced it with the 780.

Target had Garmin 255 on sale for the Holiday @ 129.00, Costco also carries them.
