Hi everyone. Better late than never here I am. I''ve been writing papers, taking exams, pulling all-nighters, and working like crazy, ahhh! But alas I have essentially two days off so I figured I''d get some much needed PSing in while I play WoW with FI.

First, let me respond to gals from last week.

cherrytomato1: Welcome!!

You said something about points, are you doing weight watchers?

Keepingthefaith21: I know what you mean completely, how''s this week going so far? Back on track?

And I agree 100% with lliangchi don''t sweat about cake tasting, it''s a special event. Kind of like a Birthday.

angielea: Hey, the 15th is my parent''s anniversary!

Anyway, you can do this I know you can. What''s your plan for this week?

So I''ve been doing pretty well water-wise, but I am trying to cut back the sodas so more. Even diets. I want to have one with dinner, but so far today I''ve only had water to drink. So far today I''ve had cocoa puffs (bad I know) w/ milk, an apple, and half a PB&J sandwich. I am thinking this is not enough I feel kind of sick, but the thing is I just don''t get that hungry. I guess I need to force myself to eat? Help nutritionist!

Anyway, hope you are all doing well and I will be back tonight/tomorrow.

Hey ladies. I haven''t checked in for a couple weeks, but I wanted to report on my progress, small as it is.

I''ve been trying hard to eat healthier, i.e. incorporating more fruits and veggies and good proteins into my diet. I tend to eat tons of carbs, and while I don''t necessarily want to cut the carbs, I feel more energetic for longer periods when I eat more protein. I''ve been somewhat successful, but what I find to be the most difficult is keeping a good store of fresh fruits and vegetables available. I don''t have the time or energy to make lots of grocery trips; FI and I go about twice per month, usually.

With this limitation, how do I continue to incorporate the fruits and veggies I need? Do you guys have any tips?

I have built in more exercise into my life recently as well. I''m walking a lot more around the city, and I have been doing some weights and skiing as well. I feel pretty winded when I''m skiing, but I''m hoping that more cardio will help. I''m trying my best to stay motivated, but it''s hard, especially in the winter.

Hope everyone is staying healthy and warm!

Hey kittybean! Hmm, have you tried lock and lock? They keep things fresh longer IMHO. Also some fruits and veggies last longer than others..I find that apples last for a while in the refrigerator. It sounds like you''re doing great though! Maybe someone else will have ideas as well..

*bump* *bump* Helloooo out there!

How is the weekend going for y''all?

I was doing really well today, got a walk in and everything. And then I discovered this bagel sandwich.

Bad for me!

Blegh. Anyway, how''s things?

Helllooooo! It''s been a while since I last checked in, too.

I''m officially down 16lbs for the year! I lost 10 early on, then stalled for about 6 months. The last six pounds have come off rather easily in the past eight weeks. Of course last night I ate quite a bit of unhealthy food (it was FI''s 30th birthday!) but since I had hiked nine miles that morning I didn''t think too much of it. This morning I''m hitting the trails again.

Sixteen pounds down, probably 20 to go before the wedding. Well, 20 ideally...10 if I''m being realistic.

Hi there,

I''d like to join in on this thread, if I may. I was a member of weight watchers until this summer when I had to quit for my summer job, and the meetings conflicted with my classes this fall, so I''ve been away from WW since May. I''m planning on joining back up this week now that classes are done (why wait for X-mas). I really liked WW and I think I''ve done okay on my own, though not as well without it - I''m about 10 pounds heavier now than I was last December - but hey, I''m still lighter than I was the year before that, so I''ve kept some of my good habits, and some of my bad ones have crept back up. Anyway, I''d like to stop messing around and get some progress in towards my goal weight. I''m expecting to get engaged any day...

I do pretty okay around this time of year because after Thanksgiving, I quickly start getting sick of all the rich food and candy that I normally love, and I really up my exercise to cope with stress. But my mom''s X-mas cookies that she makes for me every year are going to be my downfall if I don''t get a handle on it!
