I am looking to see if there is any interest out there.... the engagement has been called off and we have parted as friends so this ring needs to find another finger. I might just keep it but feel it is such a beautiful ring someone should wear it daily!
I listed it on loupe troop.(please excuse upside down photos on loupe troop as I am trying to have them corrected). I will also include a photo of the EGL report for the diamond.
The center diamond is a 1.75 CT. round brilliant
EGL 7700382936
H color, VS2 clarity
7.72 x 7.69 x 4.84
62.9% depth
57% table
15% crown height
44% pavilion depth
faint flourescence
Listed as Excellent Ideal Cut "hearts and arrows" on EGL report.
The setting is a custom Danhov ME halo, cushion shape in solid platinum (stamped Danhov 950)with a split shank. 60 round brilliant cut diamonds weighing .50 CT in g color VS-1 clarity.
The ring weighs 11.29 grams so there is no doubt it is platinum!
My local jeweler who deals in wholesale diamonds and supplies other jewelers in San Diego has a replacement value of $19,800 from 2/2012. Replacement value is not an insurance appraisal. This means this wholesale jeweler could replace this ring in 2012 for $19,800. An insurance value is typically based on retail replacement and would more than likely be closer to $25K. However,I want to be realistic about what someone may pay for this through a private seller. I am asking $15,000 and will consider serious offers. Any feedback appreciated!
A little checking on Blue Nile shows a 1.75 I-VS2 with same proportions listed at $13,900. To duplicate the Danhov setting today is $6,500K.
