Hi,

I’m interested to putchase this diamond table 60%, pavilion crown angle 35, pavilion depth 40.6. Table depth is 59.9%. Is this a good proportion to consider? I’m concern about the table might be too large with the pavilion depth. Would this create the fish eye effect? Thanks.

Do you have photos or videos? This would be considered a 60/60 style stone. That's not an inherently bad thing, but I'm not sure it will work well with the crown and pavillion angles in this case.

A nice 60/60 stone. The crown height is tall for a 60/60 stone.

Obviously you have no idea how proportions work together so stop giving new posters bad advice I call bs when I see it...

That was unnecessarily aggressive. I always defer to @Karl_K and @flyingpig . No need to be rude. I've read that with 60/60 sometimes a shallower (33) crown and higher pav (41) can work better.

The few 60/60 combos that can get ags0 are mostly in the 40.8-41p with 33-34 crowns range.

A 35 crown and a 60% table can lead to problems in the upper girdle region that takes IS/ASET images to prove they are ok. With a 40.6 pavilion AGS cut guides predict a ags2 but I have seen tight highly symmetrical examples get 0.
So those basic numbers taking the gia rounding in account could be anywhere from ags0 to ags3.

I put all the numbers in the HCA tool and this is what it came up. 501DE608-12EF-4798-9469-1BBE2CE91D90.png

Aha, that makes much more sense. Thanks for clarifying!

Looks promising! A photo or video of the stone itself would help a lot

There’s a little white dots on the right top I wonder what it is. This is the online photo. This is an IF clarity so maybe it’s the reflection of light or something else? 81F76170-F14A-41F4-AC4C-3A0495180630.png

Is there a cultural reason or personal preference for such high clarity? I ask because you'll end up paying a decent premium for IF clarity despite not being able to see differences with the naked eye between VS clarity and IF (you would need a scope to see inclusions in a VS stone, especially VS1 and most VS2).

It’s a personal preference. I currently own a 1.50 carats VS1 with medium fluorescent E color. This would be an upgrade for me. I prefer no fluorescence.
