Hello all. Pls look at the attached (GIA certificate and ASET image).
Good price at $10345? Any concerns?

Have you tried using the diamond "in house" search feature to see comparable prices?

You should also enter the % numbers into the HCA is determine the cut grade.

I did. HCA is excellent at 1.7
As I am not an expert just want to get some other opinions on whether this is a good buy or not...

Looking at the comparables in the InHouse search 10,000 range is just below or around where the prices are falling, so you are paying around what is expected, maybe a little less.

You are definitely not being ripped off.

Can you ask the vendor about the surface graining....? If the graining breaks the surface is it visible by the eye? If this considered eye-clean?

it's a GIA not an EGL

will do. any other key questions i should have?

I was referring to the EGL stone in the search link, not yours. That EGL ispriced 6,000 with the "same" color, clarity, cut, but in reality EGL stones are lower in color than graded.

The solomon stone seems to be a bit shallower and not cut as well, so your stone is better cut.

I would ask regarding the surface graining breaking the surface... so ask if eye clean.

Also, as if the twining has any strength issues as they seem close to the edges... other than that, it looks good!
