1.5 carat stone

Hi!

I am looking to get a solitaire pendant made, with a halo around it.

Can someone please help me in sourcing a diamond, around 1.5 in carat size? I figure I can go down to G, maybe even H in colour, excellent cut, SI1 as long as it is eye clear. I am ok with sacrificing a bit in colour and clarity for a bigger stone.

Budget around 10-12K. I honestly have no idea what to look for!

Diamonds recommended on Pricescope are generally within the following ranges:

Table 54-58%
Depth 60-62.4%
Crown Angle (CA) 34-35 degrees
Pavilion (PA) 40.6-40.9 degrees

Typically the lower end of the PA range combines best with upper end of CA range (e.g. 40.6 with 35) and vice versa (e.g. 40.8 with 34) - however anything within these PA/CA ranges can work well - just slightly less assured so needs some more scrutiny pre-purchase.

As a starting point, you're probably best to have a look around for something in the above ranges and then get advice from the experienced people on this forum.
