Hello everyone,

I''ve been reading this board for some time and am about ready to finally purchase a diamond for my favorite person on earth - my girlfriend.

I was in a store today looking at diamonds for about 2 hours today and kept coming back to one in particular. It is an AGS000 rated diamond, E color, SI2.

The main inclusion is a white feather that is so hard to detect the woman in the store had a hard time finding it for me, a cloud that doesn''t really seem to exist and a few scratches on one facet on the outside of the diamond. The color is phenomenal and the brilliance is really breathtaking. The price is $7400. Any suggestions?

thus is true, if you like it, you should buy it.

Make purchase contingent on a satisfactory independent appraisal if you can''t get the diamond professionally evaluated before you buy.

Eye clean SI2, high color and greta cut... well, this sounds like pricecope's dream of a diamond! Besides, it is not an easy feat to find any stone between 1.3 and 1.5 carats - just look at the skinny list of offers around here

Actually, there seems to be just one stone close to those specs: D-Si2 ans slightly more expensive for the higher color, but also as large as ideals can get (60% deep, thin/med girdle). Here it is:

Not sure what the pinpoints all over the photo are all about, there are a couple of feathers on GIA's plot.

What are the specs on the AGS report ?
