My new stone arrived today! I''ll post a photo when I can get a decent one. I did get a few that showed a most delightful heart shaped flash.

I decided that this stone loves me and was meant to be. I had no intention of buying the first one I saw but WOW my heart just leapt when I saw it. So I guess I am keeping it. I am just too easy.
Its a 1.24 ct,M, SI2.some lights it is quite yellow, some it seems quite white. Very changable which I like.Has SB flourescence and I put my UV light on it and it lights up like magic! It has no clouds or feathers but it does have a black dot crystal just under the table, off center. Not huge and I can''t even see it without magnification but I have bad eyes I am sure those that are inclusion sensitive would hate it,they are likely color sensitive too so wouldn''t like it anyway!! I just love it!!My heart sang when I opened the box this morning.I really did not expect too much for the price I paid and was very pleasantly surprised.
The crystal and one needle are the listed inclusions,it does say pinpoints not listed. I can see the needle and some pinpoints when I use my 30x.Cannot see them otherwise. If not for the black crystal this stone would be very ,very clean looking.
Oh and it came up a HCA rating of 1.6 which is quite respectable.

Before it arrived I was sure I would be sending it back for a better clarity rated stone ,was sure it would look awful...but no way! This baby is staying right here!

Congrats, it sounds fabulous! I love the lower colours, not just because I have one. They either speak to you or they don''t. Can''t wait to see pics.

I'm glad you found a stone that stole your heart, so you better post pictures soon. After all,

This Thread is Useless Without Pictures!

OK. Here is one very bad photo. It does show the heart shaped white flash but since the picture is so small you can barely see it.

I''ll try to get better photos later. I KNOW my camera does better macro than this, I just seem to have forgotten how. Time to re-read the manual.
At least it''s a picture!!

Whoa baby!

That is not tiny by any means!
It''s lovely, congratulations! What setting have you chosen?

That sounds wonderful. I hope you can post some more pictures soon.

Congrats on your new ring. Is this an engagement ring? Use your Macro setting and turn off the flash. Go outside where it''s green and colorful and stand in the shade. This will take fabulous photos of your new ring. I can''t wait to see more pictures!

Lisac, I have not chosen any setting yet I will probably just have it set in the cheapest solitaire for awhile while I decide what to do . I had thought I would want an antique setting so it would be more like the rings I remember but that may be hard to find.I don''t know!!I didn''t really expect to find my stone right off the bat so hadn''t planned that part really well. I wonder if it is possible to purchase a second hand solitaire setting from someone that upgraded?? I might find a nicer one that way without over spending while I am deciding what to do permanantly. Wonder where one would look for that??

Flygirl, I will work on more pictures tomorrow. Will be gone most of today but its not like I am not thinking about it!

HAGirl, No, not engagement! I''ve been married for a lot of years. Not even an upgrade!! I just decided that I wanted a nice yellowish stone ring like those I remember the ladies wearing when I was a little kid. So, I''m making one for myself. It''s a memory ring for me!

There are nice settings at Fay Cullen and Antique Engagement Rings. I'm pretty sure they both sell just the settings separately from stones, although you definitely have to look at the return policies to see if they're sufficient for your needs. Both places sell replica antique settings. I love the old settings. One day (shh! don't let DH hear!), I'd like to get an old OEC, OMC stone and have it set in that kind of setting for a RHR. Swoon.

ACK! Okay, somebody send me the grammar fairy please. I keep having to edit everything I write today and it still doesn't make sense half the time!
