What do yu think of this diamond?
GIA Certificate
Round Brilliant
Measurements: 6.28 - 6.32 x 3.84 mm
Carat Weight: 0.92 carat
Color Grade: G
Clarity Grade: VS1
Cut Grade: Excellent

Proportions:
Depth: 61.0%
Table: 57%
Crown Angle: 34.0°
Crown Height: 14.5%
Pavilion Angle: 41.2°
Pavilion Depth: 43.5%
Star length: 55%
Lower Half: 75%
Girdle: Medium to Slightly Thick, Faceted
Culet: Very Small

I ran the HCA and it graded

Light Return Very Good
Fire Very Good
Scintillation Very Good

However the graphic in the HCA places it in the Middle of GIA Excelent
Also I noticed that if the Pavilion angle were 40.9º the HCA would`ve graded it EXCELENT in Light Return, Fire and Scintilation.

Do you believe light return, fire and scintiliation would be truly noticeable if the pavillion were 40.9 instead of 41.2? Im looking for an excelent cut quality diamond but I`m also trying to decide fast and this stone is available with my jeweler at this moment.

40.8-41 increases your chances of getting a nice stone.

Also, you've seen it...we (PS readers) haven't.

A little close to the edge. GIA pavilion angles goes by 0.2 degrees, so it could be slightly deeper or shallower by 0.1 degrees, depending on the rounding of the numbers.

Have you seen it in person and compared it with an AGS0 stone?

Any chance of posting an IS here?

It depends on a number of factors, including how precisely the stone was cut. The 41.2 PA is an average of eight measurements and could imply a min of 40.2 and max of 42.2, in which case there would be a considerable reduction in performance qualities. Even if it''s not so wide, several of the angles stand to be quite a bit over 41 degrees which is something of a threshold. This is a good reason behind Julie''s recommendation of a "safer" range. As Stone-Cold implied, an Ideal-Scope image could reveal some things about cut consistency and performance. However, you have seen it - so you will have a better read on the stone than anyone here.

It might be ok with a 80% or higher lgf% and it was very tight but with a rounded 75% I would keep looking.
