Consolation money to the "losing" jeweler? | Page 3 ...

However, at least in that view, it hardly looks a diamond at all, but something else. I'd consider buying it for myself to make something masculine out of it, if it wasn't diamond-expensive. Frankly, I just don't own any jewelry, other than a darkened titanium wedding band.

I would also go on a few websites (Google, Yelp, etc.) and leave positive reviews for their business with commentary to the extent they were very helpful and respectful in your search, even though you ended up buying elsewhere, and that you’d definitely consider them for other future purchases.

HCA scores under 1 can indicate a shallow ring that may suffer with 'obstruction' issues (where too much goes dark at the same time when viewed from a near distance) - I [think it can only be an issue with short Lower Girdle Facets (<=75%) and small tables (<55%??), because in that situation, the LGFs will take up most of the area under the table (because they are fatter/wider) and therefore ...

Oh, I'm sorry if that comment implied I didn't need advice. I just meant I didn't expect perfection, and was looking for something unique. I totally appreciate your input, and that of any other PS'ers. Thank you for your in depth review of the stone, and what to look for in the next diamond.

My first diamond purchase | PriceScope Forum

Since it is not an ideal cut it shows much more color than the ideal in my avatar - but it has no obstruction or leakage. My only complaint is the time it took between ordering and receiving through RC was VERY long - it had to arrive in the US, get to NYC to have the gemologist review it - that took a week, then it got to me. 3 weeks later.

@Swirl68, the states for which they charge sales tax is based on where the customer is.They apply the rate of the state in which the customer is located. It is not affected by where there are located. And with the recent changes in state sales tax laws, there will just be more people being charged sales tax on online purchases.
