Costco jewelry? | PriceScope Forum

I probably wouldn't buy my engagement stone there without very careful examination of the specs and price comparisons but any thing else I would buy there in a heart beat. Their return policy is awesome so if you get it home and decide it is not right you return it. Before jewelry and metal prices went up, you could get a great deal there.

Macy''s Diamonds -- To good to be true??? | PriceScope Forum

Macy''s doesn''t actually operate any of their jewelry counters. Those counters are leased and operated by Finlay Fine Jewelry, a company that is easily the least-known large jewelry retailer in the country (I think they''re top-10 something by sales). Finlay operates most of the department store jewelry counters out there.

Kay Jewelers vs. Walmart Jewelry question? | PriceScope Forum

2. When you buy a finished piece of jewelry, only part of the price is for the raw materials (i.e., the stones and the gold weight). You are also paying for design and workmanship. One of these rings might be better crafted than the other. And the designs are quite different and one is likely more pleasing to you than the other.

So I've had Jeweler's Mutual since I got engaged, but I'm thinking of switching because their premiums are kinda high, IMO... I'd just heard of Gemsafe and Lavalier from another thread, and I was wondering if anyone could give any reasons I shouldn't switch.

USAA Insurance Claim Experience | PriceScope Forum

Let’s do an example. If you buy a ring for, say, $10,000 that’s ‘worth’ $30,000, did you get a bargain? Maybe, but probably not, at least not by that much. If you can get it for $10k, your insurer probably can too. You insure it for $30k, wait for a few years, lose it and file a claim for a replacement.
