Final collection - headed to the jeweler on Monday.
Here's my final collection of paraiba-colored YAG.
One for me, one for the wife, and one for little girl. The top right one will be posted for...
These, plus the one being cut now by Scott Laborie. [ATTACH]
From the same piece of YAG - just different cuts, plus one for the wife and one for the daughter. Oh, and a synthetic blue spinel, that I decided...
@bludiva, I'm having another stone cut which should be finished within the next day or so. I just wanted a handful of stones, cut just a little...
Chatham stones can be ordered my almost any jeweler, but, to me, they are pretty unimpressive looking in person.
You should duplicate it with that paraiba YAG you've got. ;)2
@clumberlove That looks like Arya's Aperture Science cut.
Just be aware that the prices shown through that Jeweler's Showcase are about 40% higher than wholesale.
For example, I got a quote from a jeweler...
He is - he's calling it a "feather". :mrgreen2:
I do know of a very well-known and well-respected gem cutter who recently pulled a stone out of storage that had developed a large crack that...
Now he's calling it an "internal feather".
Where is the current listing?
What are you referring to? That thread is 2 yrs old.

Holy crap! Now aren't you glad you sent it to him?
I didn't realize all of my YAG ladies were international celebrities. :mrgreen2:
Wow - good job, sir! That sounds like an excellent way of handling that window.
So you designed it and cast it yourself?
Thanks. I really like it. Who designed the ring for you?
One other question if you don't mind - is the band solid or open below the culet of...
Yes, side view. 1.56 carats? What are it's dimensions in mm?
And I love how it is so low-profile on your finger.
Very nice. Can you post a profile picture of it, please?
And what size is the stone?
Because it's not a 10x8 oval or emerald shape - else, I would have it. :mrgreen2:
There's a member here that has an account, but I'm not at liberty to say who it is. Maybe she will contact you directly somehow.
That 114 and 143 look nice.
I don't judge. :mrgreen2:
And I will be glad to help push your moral boundaries if necessary.
Now, when are you ladies taking me out to dinner for getting this YAG stuff from Russia, huh?
I love that stone also. Would you mind sharing what the price on it was, please?
