    "Just Barely" Pregnant PS''ers

Re: Re: Eek!! Congrats :-) I think in your case you should just go with the avoid - be too busy/have other plans/etc. The whole fake drinking/I'm on medication thing is pretty transparent IMO.

PS Mommy Thread-Newborn to 12 months!

I don't know how but babies just seem to be able to sleep at daycare. It took my son a few weeks to settle in and start sleeping well but I was always shocked that he would sleep with other kids around who would wake and cry etc. Just wait till your LO goes to the toddler room and they nap on...

PS Mommy Thread-Newborn to 12 months!

Smc - I had the same issues when I went back to work after my first. Pick up at 6 and in bed by 730. Factor in making dinner etc and the time with your kid gets even less. Upside is when your daughter is a cranky toddler, you get a break at 7:30 :-)

    Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

MP - I'm so sorry that you (and your little girl) are dealing with this. Hopefully it ends up being something that is easily dealt with by the doctors once she arrives. As for your amnio question, I don't think I'd bother at this point. To be honest, the heart issue is enough to worry about/deal...

LV - I went through that for about a week as well - waking up in the middle of the night thinking "This is it!" and then nothing. It is hard knowing you are so close but have no control over the exact 'when' of it all. Good luck!!

LV - 39 weeks!! Almost there mama!! Put your feet up - swelling is no joke and will probably only get worse during/after labour so take care now! Can't wait to hear the exciting news! This TDAP discussion is interesting - it isn't something that was offered or even mentioned to me (I'm in...

    Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Well - baby Ivy has arrived!! Our little full moon baby was born at 1:07 pm on the 3rd after a long labour and a short delivery. She was posterior for most of the labour so that was painful (and apparently prolonged my labour because her head wasn't pushing down on the cervix properly). She...

Still pregnant. :) I will be 40 weeks on Monday. My MW said she will offer me a stretch next week (40w1d) and induction at 41 weeks. I have a feeling it won't come to that but it is nice to know what her plan is. For names we have finally (I think haha) narrowed it down to two - Willa or Ivy...

    Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

There are quite a few, but in general, they don't just sub in someone else for an appointment. I have a back up midwife for the birth, and if my MW was, say, sick for a week, they would put me with the back up but I guess just for a reschedule, they keep me with my primary. It is still annoying...

    Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Hi girls. Still here. 39w1d today. I generally feel fine but I guess I'm just anxious about delivery. I was so naive going into the first one - no thoughts of 'what ifs' etc and this time I'm worried about the pain and how I can handle it etc. Ugh. Doesn't help that my midwife had to...

April20 - that is super annoying (even if it did get worked out later). Sometimes the administration of ob/midwife offices can be the worst. As IF she didn't know that glucose tests don't require an appointment. Upside is that your doctor actually emails you!! My first OB would never have even...

PS Mommy thread with toddlers 12-36 months

Hey MP - I don't come over here often but having just gone through the potty training thing with my little guy, I wanted to let you know what we did. L will be 3 in June, and daycare said about a month or so ago that they thought he was ready to start. We had tried at home a bit but he did NOT...

MP - Do you know what you are doing for cribs? I love twin nurserys with painted cribs...just saw one recently. Let me see if I can find a pic for you. I think staying simple and mostly neutral is a good idea!! Aviastar - congrats and welcome!! Hopefully you can relax a little now that you've...

Hey girls - happy Monday ;) I had a lot of gushing bloody noses with my first -t his time it is more a dry nose constantly that bleeds when I blow it. Totally normal and annoying. MP - glad the two babes are above average!! That is good news that they are growing and developing. Hope the extra...

Huff - that must have been (and I"m sure continues to be) so scary. I had a friend who had a placental abruption at 24 weeks and everything happens so fast. I'm glad he was at 32 weeks at least - hopefully most of the work left to do is just fatten up! However, that aside - congratulations on...

It's official - my rings no longer fit comfortably. And given that they are mostly eternity bands, I decided that they have to come off now (because I'd be close to wanting to chop my finger off before cutting a ring!). Sad day ;-) I just gorged at lunch (oops). Wanted KFC (it is my constant...

LV- well I went to the ultrasound and of course the baby had moved to head down. haha. Since then she has moved back transverse, but at least I know she can still do some flips in there!! I was told to go onto Spinning Babies website and do the exercises. The one I did the night before the U/S...

Not to be all about MuffDog right now but i just got back from my midwife appointment and they've determined the baby is transverse. Going for an ultrasound tomorrow to confirm. Anyone have any experience with this or with moving a baby from a 'bad' position to a 'good' one?

tbaus - you look fantastic! Great shaped bump :-) I can't believe there are two in there!!! Hey - so for your stroller, depending on the brand, I'd suggest just buying it locally. I bought my stroller from the US (I'm in Canada) because it was much cheaper, but it is a hassle for warranty...

I really wish I could leave him in the crib. However...he is changing rooms and to buy a temporary crib would make my husband crazy. If Luca were younger, I would definitely insist on it, but my sleep specialist that I used for him said 3 is the magic number. We'll see!! Okay - HDBD is here...

LV - I'm on the two week schedule now. So yeah - I'm annoyed every two weeks. :-) What strollers are you looking at? April20 - I'm always impressed by the team green people. If your DH is concerned about the colour of the gifts, what about telling ppl no gifts until after the baby is born? Also...

    Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

So my midwife appointment was cancelled again today. UGH. I've put in a request for a new back-up midwife as she is the one who is sick and is often not there. I just feel like I need to build a relationship with someone in advance of labour and that if she is (most likely) not going to be...

How far along are you MP? I don't think you can have regular, noticeable movement expectations for a while so maybe try to relax. And have some cold juice :-) If you are a worry wart (I was the first time around) you should take your doppler with you to work!! That might stop you from freaking...
