Are diamond marketing invention or are they really rare?

Wink, I basically meant it as a sarcastic joke, I added the boohoo violin lol. :boohoo:

Are diamond marketing invention or are they really rare?

Haven't read the article yet. But when you invite private buyers and offer them a box diamonds and pretty much leave it at "take it or leave it" with the premise if you leave you won't be let back in later. I consider that manipulating the market. Recently because the diamond market is getting...

Are diamond marketing invention or are they really rare?

Marketing invention. They don't hold much value you unless people give it one in MY OPIONION. They are commodities. And there are millions upon millions of other diamonds in inventory such as De Beers trying to work the market right now to kill surplus and drive up cost.

    Very Dissatisfied Potential Customer

Way too many other beautiful diamonds out there to get so worked up over one. I'd chalk it up as a loss and move on, might find something even better.

Does anyone know what VVS means?

Article came out saying even though DeBeers is lowering the price retailers are refusing to follow the dip. Of course they are, money > everything else is their thought process. http://m.newspressnow.com/news/local_news/article_bf0f09f9-1115-586f-9c91-c4cbb665f320.html?mode=jqm

Who uses the creamiest-looking 18k rose gold? How is WF's?

Re: Who uses the creamiest-looking 18k rose gold? How is WF' 14kt rose gold has more copper in it, which is why it looks more pink. 18kt has more gold and so its a more yellow shade of rose gold. I prefer 18kt.

DeBeers to lower diamond prices by up to 9%. Just smile and wave boys...smile and wave. :naughty:

Does anyone know what VVS means?

Not denying any of that, but in this case majority over rules. And right now the majority isn't buying diamonds like they used to. At the end of the day these diamond businesses put aside wants and needs and look at the cold hard numbers...profits. If you're doing well then hey that's awesome...

Does anyone know what VVS means?

You guessed right, and in most traditional cases males do the buying and proposing so I feel we hold the keys to actual trigger pulling to buy, obviously the female's WANT plays a role but if you are a more logical couple you think more on the basis of NEEDS, and the point I'm making is that...

Does anyone know what VVS means?

Again, my response is merely to my social circle and I don't speak for everyone but price would be the determining factor for me to make purchases. There are other cheaper less authentic alternatives that are still beautiful and less than a fraction of the price and majority would not even know...

Does anyone know what VVS means?

I'll be honest here, as having first hand knowledge of the millennial demographic, diamonds are mostly at the back of our minds at this time. Many of my friends are more concerned with finding full time employment that provides the financial resources they need in order to pay off those costly...

Color I with Medium Flourescence in a Rose Gold setting

Looks like a little bit of light leakage under the table, but looks decent besides that.

In search of round brilliant in the ~$3k range.

Don't get caught up so much in HCA numbers, it's designed to be a rejection tool more than anything. For the most part if the HCA is under 2 it means they are worth a look. a few decimal points +/- shouldn't make the purchase for you. I'd look at the ASET/IS images for selection process.

Wedding band sizing please advice asap

I think age plays a factor, because my knuckles have kept growing and I have had to go up half a size for my rings. If they are in their early 20s i'd say go with the size 6 if you don't want to re-size in the future.

    Prongs and Diamonds

If this particular vendor feels the gaps are of no issue why would they agree to "fix" it the first time if there was no issue with it? Sounds like someone is complacent after getting your money.

Well....these stone selections...i'll have to say the 2620 will definitely make the ring.

There is already an IS image attached to the stone on the bottom right along with the hearts photo.

    1.42 Uncertified diamond

So is the jewelry store saying it's an Si2? I'm guessing that's what it is since there's no other cert for the diamond. I'd get it appraised for sure.

Huge Mixup!!! David K Jewelers vs. David Klass. Help!!!!

She already called the bank and the bank is trying to get all of it back for her, no need for lawyers, or stress. It's a done deal. I agree pick your battles, but this one doesn't hurt to try and win and have the bank fight for her behalf. It's not just a matter of the number amount, it's a...

Huge Mixup!!! David K Jewelers vs. David Klass. Help!!!!

I'm not trying to beat a dead horse here. But don't let anyone make you think it's okay to unjustifiably keep your hard earned money because it creates a solution which is deemed "for the better good". GET ALL OF IT BACK. It's fraud otherwise.

Huge Mixup!!! David K Jewelers vs. David Klass. Help!!!!

Sounds like a dirt merchant to me. Not good with computers huh? So what changes between processing the refund now and next week? Is he a couple chapters behind in his Computers for Dummies book? I'm very disappointed with this vendor from what you described, I hope people find this thread next...

    Is this light leakage?

Yes it's light leakage, you can especially see it at the 1 oclock position. The rest just looks like strong back lighting.

    Which "I" is more "colorless"?

I did notice that, but I'm hoping that's more of a strong backlighting affect than diamond performance lol.

    Which "I" is more "colorless"?

It's the same picture just flipped horizontally as you can see, it's interesting how perception can change with something so slight. I had one of the gentleman at GOG take a look for me, and he was able to provide me this picture of the two. He said they are both average "I"s. Could go either...
