I think you know exactly what I am talking about. How about letting the team know that you are a big girl and can take of yourself without their help.

Perhaps you don't know you have a protection team.

Just as I thought. It must have been your protection team. As if you can not stand up for yourself. TL I have said it before. You have good tastes and a good eye. It is just the way you go about telling others what they should like that rubs some the wrong way.

It is funny how everyone puts words in my mouth and knows my exact intent BUT me. Thank you for informing me of MY intents. If you are interested My intent was not to be rude but Chrisas summed up what I have been thinking for a long time. So I quoted it in this thread so I did not go off...

Why is it alright for some to insult and lie about others but for others posting a quote that apparently is shared by more than a few is open for moderation? Please let us get to the ugly underbelly of this.

You know I guess it is OK for Me to be insulted and lied about. Why is this? Please lets get this all in the open forum.

Can you define what a great deal of money is? Is that the going rate payed for a poorly cut stone from India using child slave labor? Sometimes paying more than the lowest rock bottom price you can find is the right thing to do.

How about not calling Be treated corundum "road gravel" and saying it is way to expensive at 5 dollars a carat. We both know those kind of statements are not helpful. Anything in that same vein is not helpful even if that is your opinion!

Tourmaline Lover, What we say here can help or hinder what those newbies eventually end up doing. While we like to think we are always helping. Can we be sure that what we say always is? That is why we must choose our words carefully.

Loving Diamonds you assume way to much. Please do not speak about what you do not have knowledge about. There is way to much of that already going on around here.

Thank you for your input ld How is it that you have insisted that I not reply to your threads. Which I have respected but you think you should not give me the same respect.

Please Tourmaline Lover share a picture of your andalusite with us.

Andalusite is the same hardness as tourmaline. 7 to 7 1/2

looking for an olive green stone

I'm looking for something that is olive green with brown tones/flashes to it- sort of hazel eye color Andalusite while not a very common or well known gemstone would seem to be a perfect fit for what you are looking for. Here is a link to one. While the cutting is not good it will give an...

    Stone certification questions

Tourmaline could be oiled like emeralds but I doubt tourmaline will survive the temperatures required for either glass or flux filling.

I suspect you are onto something here. I am pretty sure AGL would ask the OP how much to insure the stone for. I am beginning to think that there was no insurance for the return shipment to the seller from AGL. That would explain why the OP can not or will not file a claim.

    Conned on ebay. I quit!

This question is not about the OP. This is a question about a hypothetical stone that YOU have sent out to a potential buyer

I really can't help but wonder. How many posting here would be more than happy to issue a refund had they sold a stone on DB and the recipient returned said stone back damaged. Would you just refund the money and take the loss?
  24. colormyworld

    Conned on ebay. I quit!

And now we get a rewrite of history. From the very beginning the OP has been against filing an insurance claim since they claimed it would be fraud.

Calling a tourmaline a paraiba tourmaline that is from brazil and has the possibility of being from the state Paraiba is not misleading according to the law IMO. Exactly which legal entity forbids this? We use origin all the time to better define the quality of a gem. stone.
  28. colormyworld

    Conned on ebay. I quit!

Perhaps to us gem geeks but I don't think the common man or woman on the street would agree with you in this instance. Perhaps I am taking the notion of common law to far then?

    Conned on ebay. I quit!

Are you saying the OP did not receive a tourmaline from Brazil. Perhaps even from the state of Paraiba in Brazil? Who are we to say the stone is not? I have read nothing to contradict that claim. Oh wait! The stone was sent to a lab and they confirmed it contained no copper. But I wonder what a...

    Conned on ebay. I quit!

Whether the stone was misrepresented or not is irrelevant at this point. Why should a seller be required to accept back a stone that is not in the same condition as it was sent out? From what I have read. This is exactly why we insure an item when shipping.
