Just a free, simple cut and paste app called youdoodle.

Fair enough. They can be sourced elsewhere if one was so inclined to want more than the 20 something she has of various sizes.
I made them way too small, for correct size perspective anyways.

I do think the real life version of your sapphire and those frenchies would look much more congruent.

I would set this beauty in high karat gold with a halo of yellow diamonds with green emerald accents at 45, 135, 225, and 315 degrees.

I don’t mind at all!
The program I use (free but ad stricken) is called ‘You Doodle’.
I copy/ paste elements from existing setting images I find -like a platinum milgrain bezel. (Supersize the pics and you can really see the cut/paste job!) from there it’s resizing, rotating, inverting - so on.

Fan of the center emerald but not that setting/proportions.

This is what I would do: get 2 pairs of trapezoid diamonds and 1 pair smaller baguette emeralds to create a bonbon/candy ring!
