I usually go to bed at 2:00 am and wake up at 9:30 am.
i don't like to rush
im sure the kitties are looking forward to that day as much as youSame here. I like to enjoy the morning and savor the quiet. I am hoping we can get back to those quiet peaceful morning moments where we could just relax and ease into the day...
I’m not naturally a morning person, but over the years I’ve been able to train myself to get up at 5am on weekdays, and by 7am most weekends. On average I’m asleep by 9-10pm.
I go to bed about 10:30 and get up about 6.
When I was young (teens/twenties) I was a night owl especially on Thurs/Fri/Sat evenings. Out all night and home around 3/4AM and sleeping til noon or 1PM.
When I was in my thirties/forties I would be in bed by 9PM and awake by 5AM or earlier.
Now that the cats are sick and we have so much to do these days I am falling asleep by 8PM and out of bed by 3:30 AM.
However once I get into bed I am wide awake though generally I fall asleep by 9PM and then I wake every 2 hours or so until we get out of bed by 3:30 AM and start the cat feeding and med and cleaning routine. Sort of brutal but it allows us too have the rest of the day to do what we need to do so we make it work. It isn't forever. Hopefully LOL.
I try to get to bed by 9:30..I have sleep issues so I try to bank some hours. I wake frequently throughout the night. I’m up at 5:30 to get everyone moving..starting with the dog. He needs a whole hour before I get anyone else up.
He is a vomiter so I have to get him up..and feed him at 5:45...give him his two Prilosec and metoclopramide...walk him...then give him his two Cosequins and Rimadyl. Then he gets a biscuit for taking all his meds. I give him him body scratch and dote on him while I make my coffee. It takes up a full hour...He was losing weight because he couldn’t keep anything down. This schedule seems to be what keeps his tummy happy. My adult son with special needs goes next..and then my 93 year old mother who also lives with me. Bailey would get lost in the shuffle if I didn’t give him his special time in the morning when it’s just us. My poor husband fends for himself..It's like having a baby! I pray for your sake that all of this is finite - not sleeping is the pits.
Interesting! What does the fur baby do in his hour awake before the others get out of bed?
