Hi All!

Looking for a 2 carat diamond that truly sparkles as an anniversary gift! Been a long time browser but finally signed up to ask for some help!

At the moment I'm looking between the following, but keen for any feedback. Size needs to be 2 carat and above, and colour at least F, but emphasis is really on the sparkle. So happy for any other suggestions.
  1. https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-4083717.htm
  2. https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3970294.htm
  3. https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-4088726.htm
First one is nicely within budget, but is not being a ACA mean it's just not going to sparkle as well as 2 and 3?

Thanks all!

#1 is a virtual selection diamond from Whiteflash. The picture is not of the diamond and the other specs from GIA are missing on their website. It is a stone that they would call in for you - hence the price. The other two are good options and I'll just throw this one into the mix for consideration:

Someone is going to have a glorious anniversary no matter which stone you pick!

1 is a virtual stone and not in their inventory. It is not an ACA. It has good numbers. You could ask them about bringing it in. It will not have the
same trade up policies as their in house stones.

3 (the larger stone) would be my choice if your budget can swing it. Nothing wrong with #2 either. Both are AGS000 H&A stones. Both will be sparkly.
You can request a picture of these 2 stones side-by-side for comparison. A picture would definitely help with making a decision.

One of the main reasons ppl buy from Whiteflash is their amazing upgrade policy and ability to take pics/images of all in house stones to help ppl decide. The first stone you posted won't have any of those advantages, so i wouldn't consider it (if i were you) both of the other 2 look amazing!

Some of the pictures have little red markings on the diamond. What does that mean if it's meant to be VS2 or better, can I just ignore them? Will they impact on the diamond? I assumed being Super Ideal cut and VS2 or better I can ignore that stuff?

Was more of a generic query but here's a good example of two very similar diamonds and one has more red splotches than the other (also which would you recommend!):

https://www.whiteflash.com/pdf/104098592016.pdf
https://www.hpdiamonds.com/en-us/diamonddetail/HPD10536

They both seem to be excellent 2 carat diamonds, how do I choose?!
Do you mean the inclusion plot on the ags report? If yes, i wouldnt generally worry with super ideal stones and vs2 clarity. You choose based on which stone you like better in videos, color, size, etc. Both are excellent.

Thanks so much, I feel there's so many things to consider it's overwhelming!

All of the Whiteflash ACA F color stones are beautiful! I think if she would love a larger stone, I'd go with the 2.22. I really like VS1, though, so if you think she'd value higher clarity over size, that would be my choice! Then, the other one is the least expensive, and if that fits your budget best, it would be a great choice, too!

I would only get that setting you linked if you plan to tell her it's temporary and she can choose what she would like. If you want to give her a permanent solitaire setting, we can recommend the most popular ones.

I am after something more permanent do appreciate suggestions! Her previous ring was a more complex design and she's mentioned she wants a very simple elegant solitataire that shows the diamond. So similar to the traditional Tiffany design.

If that's the look you are going for, I'd get one of these options:

https://www.whiteflash.com/engageme...fany-style-solitaire-engagement-ring-3581.htm

Both are explicitly tiffany style.

OKay, glad these ladies saw your setting thoughts!

I will second the WF Tiffany repro in platinum, tab prongs like the Tiffany (like mine in my avatar picture which is another Tiffany repro that they also offer, the Vatche U-113). I do love mine, but it does cost more. Both are nice choices, though, and will go great with any Tiffany style diamond wedding bands or almost any wedding band, for that matter!

Platinum is not that much more expensive I guess, had it in my mind that it was double.

I'm liking this one after everyone's awesome help:

Oh thanks heaps! I think she'll want the knife the edge softened.

How were the prongs modified? Were they made smaller?

They could be made a bit smaller or thinner, made as tabs or made into claw (pointy) prongs.
