I am particularly fond of the tanzanite earrings...and the matching necklace!

I recently received this book and am really enjoying it. The pics are lovely and often show the royals wearing the jewels and then a blown up image so you can see all of the detail. It’s a gorgeous book and I highly recommend it to you all.

This book was published as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations in 2012, and yes it is phenomenal! Just close your eyes and ignore the price tag when you order it...trust me...it is worth every penny!!

I may have shared this a few pages back, but I periodically check in on this blog to see the royal jewels in action by the various family members who are lucky enough to don them. There are also a few ‘catalogs’ showing the various jewels in the Queen’s bling-arsenal with history and who has worn it where/when.

Not sure if anyone has previously posted this, but I stumbled upon it a few days ago while laid up sick and resting/recuperating. It’s an interesting, thorough accounting of many royal family tiaras with historical tidbits that I found fascinating. I only made it through the UK’s Royal Main line so far, but it has other countries/royal families represented as well. Thought it might make for interesting perusal by others.

Princess Lalla Salma of Morocco

Lalla Salma was such a pleasure to see at official events. The way she would incorporate jewels into her caftans was amazing. I miss seeing her since the divorce.

How amazing did the Queen look today? Love this brooch!

I, too, love this brooch. The detail is fabulous and I t looks great with her coloring. I’ve seen pics of her wearing it with pale lavender to royal blue to deep purple and the sapphire seems to color shift with what she wears. Not sure if it is a color change stone or if it is like when someone wears a certain color their eyes look more blue/green/brown/etc. Like princess Eugenie with the emerald tiara bringing out the green/hazel in her eyes. I just went full circle
