Need Newbie advice! - Sapphire

Hello!
I am looking at this sapphire as a possible center piece for an engagement ring:

Is there any reason I may want to keep away from it? The premise is that we decided we were okay with moissanite, then she saw a white sapphire at a shane co and said she wouldn't mind that either, but with a slight blue shade to it. I think she will really like that it changes color but still looks white in from the front angle.

It would be set in a halo setting with diamond side stones. To me it looks dazzling in the 360 video and I know she would think so too if it looks that way irl. Should I wait for a bigger but similar one? Are the dimensions too odd for an oval setting? Help!

I wouldn't take a chance on an unknown vendor for such an important purchase. I would look at inventory of the trusted vendors we have stickeid at the top.

To avoid difficulties choosing a setting and a trusted vendor to set it, I would also consider finished rings. No idea what your budget is, but there are very nice rings from juliab that are pale/nearly white:

My concern with that stone is that it will darken when set and won’t be a very attractive color. It seems to have a lot of angles that make it very dark/lose color.

I know James Allen isn’t regularly recommended for sapphires, but they have some decent ones if you’re trying to stick to a smaller budget. My sapphire halo engagement ring is from JA, and it’s beautiful for the price.

0.8mm is like a thick hair. Not really a big issue.
